The Dream Village recently hosted its 8th Annual Holiday Celebration! Friends of Sunshine Foundation came out to celebrate the Holidays and raise money for the Dream Village. The night included silent auctions, delicious food from local restaurants, tour of the whimsical Dream Village cottages, music and appearances by Santa.

Sunshine Foundation would like to thank the special organizations that volunteered to sponsor and decorate a cottage. Cottage sponsors include: The Polk County Sheriff’s Office, 4 Corners Rotary Club, Cemex, Greater Davenport Chamber of Commerce, Royal Plaza Hotel, UR Hair, Heart of Florida Medical Center, and Send Out Cards/ The Pool Captain. Your efforts made the cottages beautiful for the Holidays! The children staying at the cottages through the month of November voted on the best decorated cottage. At the celebration, 4 Corners Rotary Club was presented with an award for best decorated cottage. Each
cottage sponsor also was in a competition to raise the most sponsorship by collecting donations for their cottage. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office raised the most sponsorship and were presented with the Sunshine Cup at the Celebration!
  
The Dream Village Holiday Celebration raised over $6,400.00 to make dreams come true! Thank you to everyone who makes this event a success every year.
