Marilu Celebrates Her Quincianera and Meets Don Francisco
of her Favorite Univision  TV Show “Sabado Gigante!”

She likes to sing, dance, and watch her favorite TV show “Sabado Gigante.” Marilu’s dream was to be on the Sabado Gigante show that airs on Univision and to meet Don Francisco. Sunshine Foundation recently sent Marilu and
her family to Miami, where Marilu’s dream came true!
Marilu attended a taping of “
Sabado Gigante” and met and took pictures with Don Francisco before the show. During the live show Don Francisco even said hello to Marilu! She was celebrating her Quincianera, and this made her birthday even more special! Marilu has Down Syndrome and lives in Chicago, IL.  Thank you Univision and “Sabado Gigante” producers, especially Adriana Rodriquez, for helping make
this dream come true!

Marilu meets

Lucas’ Dream!
Sunshine Foundation is so lucky to have Atlantic Springs participate in
the Adopt A Dream Program every year! This year they answered the dream of Lucas. He is 10 years old and has Cerebral Palsy and a severe seizure disorder. Lucas is from Avenel, NJ. His dream came true when
Sunshine Foundation sent him and his family to the Central Florida Attractions. While in Florida, Lucas and his family stayed at Sunshine Foundation’s Dream Village.

Lucas’ mother, Celeste, had this to say about the trip:

We're back from the most wonderful time of our lives! There were so many highlights, I can't even count them! But THE most special moment had to be when Lucas met Mickey Mouse. We all cried. I think his face must hurt, because he's been grinning since the time we boarded the plane!”

Thank you Atlantic Springs for
making this possible!

Lucas meets new friends on his
dream come true trip!

Sunshine Foundation’s Mercer County Chapter’s Dreamlift!

On May 5, 2009 the Mercer County Chapter of Sunshine Foundation held it’s Annual Dreamlift out of the Trenton Mercer Airport. 93 seriously ill and physically challenged children spent a fun filled day at Disney World. Sunshine Foundation established Dreamlifts to extend the Florida trip to children who’s diagnosis does not allow them to be away from home for a long period of time.

Everyone boards the plane at 8:00am to embark on an
adventure to Orlando!
Police officers, firefighters, and NJ State Troopers assisted by lifting the children onto the plane and escorting them through the park. Thank you for all your help!

The children anxiously await their special day as they travel to Disney World!

By 10:30 am the children arrive at the park and start off on their exciting day
exploring this magical place!

Sunshine Foundation extends our warmest thanks to all the volunteers and donors who made this wonderful day for the children possible. Sunshine shines because of you!
